Indonesia is an island nation with a land length of 5,110 km from east to west and the largest number of islands in the world, consisting of 18,000 islands of various sizes straddling the equator.
With a population of approximately 280 million people, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world and has more than 300 ethnic groups.
It is also known as the country with the world’s largest Muslim population.
